Indigo also known as the « Baphicacanthus Cusia (Nees) Bremek Powder » is getting very popular this year for the home decoration.
This stunning blue powder is a natural colorant that’s extracted from the leaves and stems of the indigo contained in its plants.
Natural indigo powder creates a nice muted blue color in cold process soaps. Indigo can be added directly to soap but many prefer adding it to the lye water to get a darker, richer blue. For best results, add about 1/2 tsp. of indigo per pound of soap to your lye water and then add the solution to your oils.
Generally used in different tie and dye technique in cotton fabric, the final fabric brings a bright and Greek look to your room.
